Polka Dots? Yes please!

I don’t know what it is about polka dots but there isn’t a polka dot pattern that I don’t love! Maybe it derives from our constant fascination by Kate Spade and her easy-to-love designs and ensembles, or maybe it’s my love for Roy Lichtenstein’s notorious pop art. I find them to be so fun and versatile-they can be preppy, charming, sophisticated, playful, and downright glamorous! If I can find a way to wear them or incorporate them, I will!

colour inspiration: Kate Spade Spring 2012

My weekend was spent in London (Chelsea, darling!) with my style guru, Candace (also American by birth, British by choice!). We did a spot of shopping, had an amazing lunch at Les Duex Salon and flirted with adventure. We popped into Kate Spade for a session of fashion drooling and oh.my.colour. Major inspiration. Adore the collaborative collection with Florence Broadhurst.

The eye-catching pops or pinks and oranges were amazing in the spring collection yet the blues and greens really stuck in my mind. During the wedding planning process so many brides opt for a more natural or soft array of colours (which we love, of course!) Navy is definately a colour that would be a great focus point. It can be coupled with rustic gold, purple, and white. It would make for a refreshing palette. *ahem, inspiration below*

a most definate 'yes!' to the shoes... oh, the shoes...
